Charred Nut Shell Media has very high affinity towards oil. Owing to its porosity it also is a very good filtering media. For reduction of oil, nut shell filter is used after either CPI stored TPI or IGF. Nut Shell filter removes upto 95 - 98 % free oil from the oily water. It also takes care of other hydro carbons. Almost all nut shell design are simple to operate, hence very easy to maintain.
